This year marks the tenth year of "Light It Up Blue," an ongoing charity campaign to raise awareness about autism. From 2011 to 2015, the National Aquatics Center held consecutive exhibitions displaying paintings by children with autism.

In 2016, a charity project was set up to organize online and offline activities, including the exhibition of 2,400 artworks and eight public welfare sports activities for special groups, with a total of 2,000-plus participants taking part in-person and a further 335,791 participants online.

With the world striving to control and prevent the COVID-19 epidemic, the 2021 "Light It Up Blue" charity campaign for autism will, under the guidance of Beijing State-owned Assets Management Co., Ltd., join hands with many organizations to raise awareness about special groups and related research through "online advocacy."

Cooperating organizations include the Beijing Xiaogeng Foundation for the Disabled, the Beijing Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Beijing Sports Foundation, the Beijing Dongcheng District Children's Palace, the Yunhe Education Group, the Beijing Tianfu Miaomiao Culture and Art Communication Co., Ltd., Amy’s Autism Fund, the Fujian Kangyu Education Technology Co., Ltd., the Beijing Yiwu Tianzhen Culture Co., Ltd., the Foshan Jiabaili Fashion Co., Ltd., China.org.cn, and Tik Tok.
