Dinosaur musical roars to life at National Aquatics Center

The Water Droplet Theater at the National Aquatics Center in Beijing was filled with excitement over the weekend as the children's interactive musical, "A Dinosaur Came to My House," took the stage.

Running from May 31 to June 2, the production offered families a fun way to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival and the International Children's Day.

Blending music, opportunities for emotional growth and interactive activities, the show provided an immersive experience for children and parents alike. Outside the theater, dinosaur-themed displays attracted large crowds, with many attendees stopping to take photos.

The musical has staged 118 performances in Beijing and earned a strong audience rating of 9.7 out of 10, winning the hearts of many families.

The musical also highlights the National Aquatics Center's growing cultural offerings. In recent years, the venue has reorganized its space for a wider range of activities, allocating its lower floors for high-traffic tours and the upper floors for cultural experiences.

All of these efforts are part of the venue's ongoing work to build on its Olympic legacy from the 2008 Summer and 2022 Winter Games and ensure the sustainable use of its facilities.
