More than 30 online influencers, cultural communicators and journalists from Arab countries visited the National Aquatics Center in Beijing on Oct. 13 as part of the "2025 Silk Road Influencers' Beijing Tour," where they explored the dual-Olympic venue's sustainable solutions and innovative operations.
During the visit, participants toured the venue's dual-Olympic exhibition, Olympic Competition Hall and Ice Sports Center. They also learned about the venue's methods for converting facilities between aquatic and ice sports, as well as the site's historical significance.
Initially built for the 2008 Summer Olympics and later revamped for the 2022 Winter Games, the National Aquatics Center is hailed as one of the "New Architectural Wonders of China" and has become one of Beijing's most globally recognized landmarks.
Launched in 2016 by the Beijing Municipal People's Government as a flagship international communication project, the"Silk Road Influencers' Beijing Tour" has invited 135 overseas online influencers from 58 participating countries of the Belt and Road Initiative to visit Beijing.
